Press Releases to the Llanelli Star 15/02/2010
0 Comments

Neighbourhood Watch 2010 and the Community Policing team have got together this week to generate some interest to the Llanelli public. The press office in Carmarthen and the secretary of NW 2010 have drafted press releases to the local newspaper. They were submitted on Monday 15/02/2010 and it is hoped their inclusion in this weeks edition will bear fruit. Thanks to Shaun Greaney of the Star who met me on Friday for his interest and he said that he hopes to do a follow up shortly.

I was contacted today by the Press Office of Dyfed Powys Police with the intention of putting out a press release about the rebirth of Neighbourhood Watch 2010 and the relationship that will be nurtured with the Neighbourhood Policing Team. The release will be published in the Llanelli Star, date to be confirmed.

A well attended HELP meeting at the town hall on Wednesday evening...a good representation from the neighbourhood policing team, councillors from the respective wards and neighbourhood watch. Initiatives are going well and the minutes from the December meeting can be read via the PACT meetings page.

Hello and Welcome 2010 30/01/2010

2010 brought a new decade and new challenges for everyone. With the economy in the last throes of the recession (so they tell us) and the weather being at its most brutal for many years, a group of people have decided to continue with the work of the Neighbourhood Watch scheme that has been ongoing for quite a few years.

Friday 29th January saw the start of what is hoped to be a new and fruitful relationship with our local policing teams, a fresh initiative to take the safety for communities message and distribute across the wards of Llanelli with the ultimate aim of making our streets, parks, homes and public areas less vulnerable to unsocial activities. Let's hope that success is measured by a better quality of life.
